The Galaxy Nexus was unveiled at Google and Samsung's Ice Cream Sandwich event on 19 October 2011 in Hong Kong. It was released in Europe on November 17, 2011,[27] and made its debut in the United States on December 15, 2011.

3, HTC Evo 3D :
The HTC Evo 3D is an Android 2.3 ("Gingerbread") smartphone that allows for the creation and viewing of 3D content through the use of two 5 MP rear-facing cameras and a glasses-free 3D-capable 4.3" qHD touch screen. In the United States, the Evo 3D is available exclusively on the Sprint/Nextel network. Several GSM variants are also available in Canada, Europe and Asia.
Sprint announced the HTC Evo 3D during CTIA in Orlando, Florida, on March 22, 2011. On May 2, Best Buy employees received permission to start receiving pre-orders for the HTC Evo 3D, but only if a customer who was not planning on buying a currently available model specifically requested it.[citation needed]
On May 19, 2011, information was leaked on various websites of a possible June 4 release date for the phone. The leak appeared to originate from an internal Radio Shack email.
On May 24, 2011, it was confirmed that the Evo 3D has been locked down with a cryptographically signed bootloader, recovery, and kernel image - thereby most likely foreclosing custom roms such as CyanogenMod. On May 24, 2011 HTC released a statement via Facebook, saying that they are reviewing their bootloader policy. On May 26, 2011 Peter Chou, the CEO of HTC, announced on Facebook that "we will no longer be locking the bootloaders on our devices." [5]
A Radio Shack ad leaked the price for the Evo 3D at US$199.99 with 2-year contract or $600.00 and $499.99 without contract, with a trade in credit on the HTC Evo 4G or Evo Shift of $100.
A second Radio Shack ad leaked on June 1 indicated that the Evo 3D will be released on June 24, with pre-orders ending on June 24. It maintained that the Evo 3D will be $100 off with the trade in of either the HTC Evo 4G or the HTC Evo Shift 4G
On June 6, 2011[6], Sprint officially announced that the HTC Evo 3D will be available on June 24, 2011. Internet retailer Wirefly posted a video review of the HTC EVO 3D on June 6, 2011. It was also reported the phone would be available wordwide, and in Canada on the Rogers network.
On July 27, 2011[7], Vodafone UK announced that it will not offer the HTC Evo 3D citing delays and has removed it from its coming soon page.
A spokesman for the company states:
- "There’s been speculation recently regarding availability of HTC EVO 3D.
- We can confirm that due to delays in the launch of the HTC EVO 3D, we no longer intend to include the device in our smartphone range. We’ll be contacting any customers who registered their interest shortly.
- We realize this might come as a disappointment, but we’ve got some really exciting handsets in the pipeline. Keep an eye on our coming soon section for all the latest information about the products coming to Vodafone."
The EVO 3D has since been released in Australia as of September 2011 by both Telstra and Vodafone using GSM/3G networking.
Also on January 12, 2012 HTC Software Update 2.17.651.5 fixed the device clock issue (GPS-disciplined rather than UTC, hence 15 seconds fast, like in the EVO 4G).
4, T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide :
5, Samsung Galaxy S II (T-Mobile)
The Samsung Galaxy S II T-Mobile smartphone will carry all the same specifications of the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, except the screen size and it is having all the same high-end specifications, and a solid hardware.
Samsung Galaxy S II T-Mobile has got a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with 400 X 800 pixel of resolution, measuring 8.44mm thickness, running on a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor – as opposed to Samsung’s own Exynos like its siblings, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS on the board, equipped with an 8 megapixel camera on the back side to record 1080p HD video using LED flash, paired up with a 2 megapixel camera on the front side for video calling, 8GB microSD card included, 16GB internal memory storage, micro-SD card slot support for memory expansion up to 32GB, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, HDMI-out, DLNA functionality, Wi-Fi hotspot, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Light sensor, Android Market, Game, Music, Readers, and Social Hubs, Kobo e-reader software, Google Maps, powered by a 1650mAh battery, and the full host of the Google, as well as AT&T carrier services.
6, Apple iPhone 4S 16GB :
The iPhone 4S ($200 for 16GB with a two-year contract from AT&T) might not be the most exciting iPhone to date, but don’t write it off: The improved camera, faster processor, and the addition of the Siri personal assistantmake for one powerful smartphone. If you’re upgrading from a 3G or a 3GS, you’ll see a huge difference. But if you’re currently rocking an iPhone 4, you might want to wait for the next upgrade. The phone's iOS still has a few things that irk me, and I wasn’t overly pleased with the call quality (though no “antenna gate” issues this time), but otherwise the iPhone 4S impresses.
The Same Premium Design
The iPhone 4S is largely identical in design to the iPhone 4, which, in my opinion, isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It took a bit of time for me to get used to the iPhone 4’s slightly rectangular shape when I reviewed it last year. I grew to appreciate its aesthetic, however, which is both distinctly Apple and different from the pack of other high-end smartphones.
The overall design exudes elegance--from the rounded, individual volume up and down buttons to the ring/silent switch and the power/sleep button up top. Like last year's black iPhone review unit, the face and back are made of glass that is specially treated to withstand scratches and oily fingers, according to Apple. Despite the company's claims, though, I found the front and back of that earlier unit covered with fingerprints after only a couple of hours of use. This year, I got a white review unit and found fingerprints to be less of an issue.
I have to give credit to Apple every time a new iPhone comes out for making the unboxing experience such a treat for consumers. The packaging is sleek and minimalist, free of any gaudy carrier or app branding. When you slide open the box, you’re not greeted by thick heavy phone manuals that you’ll end up tossing in the garbage. The iPhone 4S seems more like a luxury item than just a mobile phone. Competing phone manufacturers should pay attention.
7, Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX :
The Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX looks so familiar, you can easily mistake it for its slimmer brother from certain angles. Aside its massive built-in battery and a change in the internal memory capacity, the newcomer in Verizon’s LTE lineup is identical to the Droid RAZR, which broke cover in November last year.
Quite frankly, I never thought that battery capacity will be the star feature in a high end Android smartphone, but, given my experience with a number of top notch devices from the past year, it makes perfect sense. After all, I witnessed several Android top dogs with massive spec sheets display battery performance, which puts their daily usability in question, thus forcing me to walk around with a charger in my pocket. The Droid RAZR MAXX is clearly aimed at this painful issue.
As you know, the subject of this feature is a Verizon Wireless exclusive, LTE/CDMA device, which is why you won’t find it in the usual review section of GSMArena.com. The RAZR MAXX however, is easily among the most significant devices to launch in quite a while, thanks to its 3300 mAh battery on board and the massive shift in usability which it represents. So go ahead and enjoy this short version of our trademark reviews. As always, we’ll to get things going by taking a look at the handset’s key features.
Key features (in short)
- Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU; PowerVR SGX540 GPU; TI OMAP 4430 chipset
- 4.3″ Super AMOLED display with qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution; 256 ppi pixel density
- 1GB RAM; 8GB built-in storage; 16GB microSD card included in the retail package
- 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording, 1.3MP front-facing unit
- LTE network connectivity
- 3300 mAh battery with the best performance in class
- Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread with Motorola’s proprietary UI; ICS update planned
- Superb build quality with top of the line materials
The list get completed with the usual full connectivity set and Motorola’s exclusive software tricks. It is easy to notice that the battery is the biggest highlight above – we’ve seen the rest of the specifications in the Droid RAZR before.
Below are some of the features of the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX, which we found to be… less likable.
Main disadvantages
- No dedicated camera button
- The battery is not user replaceable
- The AMOLED screen features the older PenTile technology
- Absurd amount of Verizon proprietary apps preinstalled
Motorola have threaded carefully with the Droid RAZR MAXX in order not to alienate the users, who bought the original Droid RAZR. While the newer model looks clearly like the better option from the two, the owners of the older incarnation will still have bragging rights as it is thinner and more elegant. It also comes with several color options.
10, Samsung Focus S :
Samsung Focus S: Top 10 Smartphones with Windows Phone System
Microsoft's mobile operating system, Windows Phone, now has around 40,000 apps as more and more smartphone makers pair with the tech giant to run their new devices. So far, Nokia is perhaps the biggest manufacturer to pair with Microsoft, but Samsung and HTC both have some nice devices running the year old system. Windows Phone in its current version is called Mango, so nicknamed with the most recent update (Windows Phone 7.5).
Microsoft previously tried to inject themselves into the mobile operating system world with Windows Mobile, but the system was abandoned in 2010 after the iPhone and Android systems took more and more U.S. customers to their devices. With Windows Phone, Microsoft is building a system that integrates different applications right into the system itself, and relying less on apps. Because there are fewer developers for Windows Phone, that's not a bad idea, but if the system becomes popular enough, more developers could migrate there.
The main characteristic of the Windows Phone device is the live tiles homescreen. Instead of icons, like the ones seen on Apple and Android phones, the Microsoft system displays a few pre-set tiles that update your texts, social networks and apps right on the homescreen. Instead of a separate app for, say, email, a live tile on the homescreen takes you right to email within the Windows Phone system. Start the slide show for the top 10 Windows Phone smartphones
